Particular attention should be given to issues and problems related to the advancement and assistance of regional projects. This would form a basis for strong and long-term cooperation and development of mutually advantageous trade and economic ties of Afghanistan, as well as strengthen the human resources of the country.
Priorities and Themes
The Conference gives the possibility to discuss widely the main aspects of the further development of Afghanistan through the realization of vital regional projects:
- Achieving economic development through building infrastructure (transport and energy);
- Human resource development through promoting vocational education and training;
- Advancing investment, trade, and border management through closer coordination among national and international authorities.
Provisional Agenda

Visa for Conference participants is to be issued free of charge by the Tajikistan’s Missions abroad upon submission of a copy of the invitation or of a visa support letter arranged by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan This email address is being protected from spambots. Participants may also collect their visas on arrival at the Dushanbe Airport upon presentation of a visa support letter issued by the abovementioned authority.
Medical service
Medical care for Conference participants will be provided if necessary.
Currency
National currency of Tajikistan: Somoni. Official Exchange Rate: 1 USD = 4.83 Somoni, 1 EURO = 6.30 Somoni, 10 RUB = 1.50 Somoni (as of January 20, 2012). Currency exchange is available at exchange offices, as well as in hotels and banks.
Local transport
The conference participants will be met at the Dushanbe International Airport by representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan. Transportation from hotels to the Conference venue is also provided.
Hotels
The Conference participants shall book hotel rooms themselves and shall keep the Conference Secretariat informed about their plans. Information about hotels in Dushanbe is available at the website of the Conference Secretariat (www.recca2012.tj). The Secretariat may book hotel rooms for participants on their behalf if required.

The Conference will be held in mid-spring, so the temperature usually ranges from +13 °C to +22 °C. Weather in spring is variable, with chances of rain.
